In larger simulations, or simulations with many links it can be difficult to work out what is routing to what. This gets a lot harder when Storage Bins are involved as they do not have the same Routing In/Out information that Work Centers do.
So what do we do?
There is a feature specifically designed for this that some people do not realize is available. If you select any object in your simulation then right click and go to “Links”
you will get the dialog below:
You now have access to all your objects and their links and – as long as your naming of your objects is good –it is extremely simple to check all your links.
What happens if you want to edit them?
Just double click on the object name and you can get to its properties.
This not only saves you time but a lot of confusion trying to remember what links to where!
Do you have any tips on how to keep modeling simple?
