In larger simulations, or simulations with lots of links sometimes it’s tricky to remember where objects are routing to. When Queues are involved sometimes it becomes even harder to remember, as they don’t have the same Routing In/Out information that Activities do.

In SIMUL8 we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you to find out where objects link to – Using our Links Browser.

Just select any object in your simulation then right click and select ‘Links’ in the menu.

Then you will get the dialog below:

Now you can see all the objects that you have in your simulation and where they link to, and as long as you’ve named your objects in an understandable way, it is really easy to see how each of the objects in your simulation are linked.

What makes this even better is that you can edit all your links from here too! Just double click on any of the object names and you will get access to all of its properties.

This is great for saving you time and allowing you to make multiple edits quickly.
