SIMUL8 Tip – Testing out Distributions

Once you start using them, distributions can become addictive! It’s always interesting to see how different distributions can affect the behavior of a simulation and relate to your process. In SIMUL8 there are many distributions already built in and it’s super quick to select one from the drop down list. You can even make your own by customizing a probability profile or setting up a time dependent distribution that will allow variation over a set time frame (great for systems where numbers fluctuate during the day).
