Student Spotlight – Scott Thomson

Scott Thomson, our newly recruited Graduate Developer at the European offices of SIMUL8 Corporation has been nominated as a finalist for The Young Software Engineer of the Year Awards.

The awards are given for the best undergraduate software projects from across all students studying computer science and software engineering in Scotland.

Each university nominates the top software engineering project submitted by its final year undergraduates and they go on to be judged to find the overall winner.

The projects are judged against a number of criteria including:
o Level of Innovation
o Level of Knowledge
o Previous Research
o Commercial/Social relevance
o Quality of Engineering
o Planning & Organisation
o Quality of presentation

The winners of this years Young Software Engineer awards are to be announced on the 29 September, so we wish Scott the best of luck!
