Simul8 shortlisted for the 2022 British Data Awards

We’ve been nominated! Simul8 has been shortlisted for the 2022 British Data Awards in the ‘Data for Good Initiative of the Year‘ category.

Out of a record 158 entries submitted, we’re excited to announce that Simul8 makes the shortlist for the 2022 British Data Awards for the ‘Data for Good Initiative of the Year’ category!

The British Data Awards is an annual campaign which helps to discover and celebrate the organizations, big and small, that are passionate about data. Firms taking part including FTSE 100 giants, tech unicorns, innovative start-ups, public sector bodies, not-for-profit organizations and everything in between.

The award celebrates the UK’s finest technology businesses, while the ‘Data for Good Initiative of the Year’ category looks to reward data success stories, in the form of an outstanding campaign or project that has significantly impacted society and made a lasting positive change.

Pro-bono Partnerships

The nomination comes following our work during the pandemic, where we offered pro-bono support to organizations all over the globe, in the form of free simulation software and consulting expertise, particularly within the healthcare sector, to support organizations with the challenges that the pandemic hit them with.

Over the past few years, we are proud to have provided over $130,000 of software and more than 40 days of free consulting, spanning across 22 countries worldwide and supporting organizations from all areas, including hospital capacity, delivering vaccines with specialised storage requirements and ensuring the vaccine roll out could happen as efficiently as possible.

With the ‘Data for Good Initiative of the Year’ award being one of the most competitive categories this year, we are delighted to be a finalist in this category, in recognition of the amazing work our committed team at Simul8 have contributed, and continue to contribute, to tech globally.

CEO Laura Reid said: “The decision to offer our support during the pandemic for free was an easy one. The alternative would have been not to act at all, or to try and profit at the time of greatest need, which would simply go against our whole ethos of improved empowerment and accessibility to technology that can make a positive difference.

I couldn’t be more proud of the whole Simul8 team and it’s such an honor to have their fantastic achievements recognized by being nominated for the Data for Good Initiative of the Year Award

Simul8 is one of 8 companies shortlisted for the award and we are honored to be included in a shortlist with so many other amazing projects that have developed innovative ways of changing the world for good through technology and the power of data. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony which takes place on May 19 in London, where we look forward to celebrating with our peers in the industry!

We will make sure to keep you updated on what happens! Fingers crossed!
