UMass uses SIMUL8 as part of innovative class
We were really pleased this week when Gino Sorcinelli, a lecturer at The University of Massachusetts Amherst got in touch to let us know that SIMUL8 would be appearing in a picture on the home page of the UMass website.
We were even more pleased when we discovered that SIMUL8 is being used as part of a new class at the university.
The class, Effective Decision Making in the age of Cloud computing, is an innovative class which UMass see as a model for the future.
It takes advantage of all the technology available to them including the use of cloud computing software, and online services.
This has allowed students to collaborate both across campus and across the atlantic, working with the National University of Ireland, Glaway on industry projects.
Here at SIMUL8 we also think that collaborating online and using cloud technology is the future and in the latest version of SIMUL8 there are a set of online collaboration tools to help everyone manage their projects in such a way.
We’re looking forward to finding out more about this exciting new class and seeing how the students use SIMUL8 as part of it.
