Simulating the Impact of Change – Paper published in London Journal of Primary Care

SIMUL8’s Lead for Health and Social Care Claire Cordeaux, along with CEO Dr. Mark Elder and Public Health Analyst for South East Public Health Observatory Andrew Hughes have had an article published in the London Journal of Primary Care this week.

The article, Simulating the Impact of Change – Implementing best practice in Stroke care, presents the experience of healthcare decision makers who used simulation to better understand the impact of adopting best practice in stroke care, as outlined in the UK National Stroke Strategy.

The paper describes the process of developing a simulation model and how stakeholders were involved in testing the key questions, which they needed to answer in order to adopt a new commissioning strategy for stroke care.
