Rooting for Simulation: SIMUL8 team takes on the Super Bowl!

This Sunday, over 73,000 people will be trying to get to their seats in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in time for the start of the NFL’s biggest game – Super Bowl XLVII!  With so many people to manage through security checks, seat finding and the all-important pre-game snack – we at SIMUL8 couldn’t help seeing if we could improve the process!

One of our apprentices, Madalina Calen, has built a simulation of the stadium which you can view on YouSIMUL8.  She first started using SIMUL8 just 2 weeks ago, with no previous simulation experience and has done a great job.

Below is a video of the presentation she gave, and even if you have no interest in the NFL, the presentation highlights some of the ways Madalina found that simulation out-performed her usual tool, spreadsheets!

Take a look and let us know if you can think of any other ways simulation could be used to improve the Super Bowl.
