Webinar – Choosing the right process improvement tool for your project
Next month SIMUL8 Corporation is hosting a Webinar in conjunction with the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). Sign up now for this free webinar and hear how a Six Sigma Black Belt decides when simulation is the right tool for a process improvement project.
When should I use simulation?
Choosing the right process improvement tool for your project.
Learn how an experienced engineer decides when simulation is the right tool for his projects, and when it isn’t.
Date: Tuesday, Nov 5
Time: 2:00 PM Eastern
Presenter: Brian Harrington, Six Sigma Black Belt
With the evolution of process improvement software, it can be difficult to decide the right tool for the job. Using something too powerful and complex can be a lengthy and unnecessary process, but underestimating the depth of analysis required and choosing something too simplistic early in a project can result in repeated work later. So when is simulation the right tool for your project?
Brian Harrington has over 20 years’ experience in designing and implementing process improvements in Ford Motor Company. He discusses situations he’s faced, how he’s tackled them, and when simulation has added value.
About the Presenter:
Brian has over 20 years operations research and simulation experience at Ford Motor Company. He designs and implements process improvements incorporating conflicting objectives to make robust, flexible, and lean systems. Brian is also a Professor at Wayne State University teaching a graduate level Stochastic Systems Class. As a certified Black Belt he has led over 50 major six-sigma projects. He is also a certified MODAPS practitioner.
